The LGPD requires a lawful basis under Article 7 (for non-sensitive data) or Article 11 (for sensitive data including biometric data), gives data subjects the rights listed in Article 18, mandates accountability under Article 50 of the LGPD, and is enforced by the National Data Protection Authority (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, ANPD). The General Data Protection Authority may issue warnings, fines up to 2 percent of revenue (capped at BRL 50 million per infraction), publication orders, blocking, and elimination orders under Article 52. ICP-Brasil (Infraestrutura de Chaves Publicas Brasileira) provides the qualified-certificate-based digital signing infrastructure under Provisional Measure No. 2,200-2 of 2001.",
