last_updated records the date Bidda last reviewed this node against its primary legal source for regulatory amendments. It is not the date the regulation was enacted. It is our last audit cycle date. This date is identical to what appears on the node's detail page, ensuring a single source of truth across the registry.
NEED POINT-IN-TIME HISTORY?
Every prior version of every node is preserved as a tamper-evident entry in the public git Merkle chain. For audit and historical-review use cases ("what did this node look like on a specific date?"), each node also exposes a public history endpoint listing every commit that touched it, with the commit SHA acting as a cryptographic anchor over the registry state at that moment.
