This directive requires all traders offering goods or services to consumers in the EU to display a mandatory 30-day reference price alongside any sale price (Article 6a as inserted by Directive (EU) 2019/2161), show per-unit prices for products of variable measure (Article 3 and Article 4), and applies to all businesses operating in the internal market as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/2161.
