Directive (EU) 2024/1799 (the EU Right to Repair Directive), adopted 13 June 2024, requires manufacturers to repair goods on a consumer's request where repairability requirements are set by Union legal acts listed in Annex II. Repairers may issue a European Repair Information Form whose conditions cannot be altered for 30 calendar days, and a European online platform for repair must be established so consumers can find repairers. Member States must transpose the Directive by 31 July 2026.
