What Planning Act 2008 requires
The Planning Act 2008 requires developers of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) to obtain a Development Consent Order (DCO) from the Secretary of State, as outlined in Section 114 of the Act. This applies to projects that meet certain criteria, such as those with a generating capacity of more than 50MW, as specified in Section 15 of the Act.
