What Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union requires
This EU directive requires employers to provide all workers with a written statement of their essential working conditions within the first week of employment (Article 5) and establishes new minimum rights regarding probationary periods, parallel employment, minimum work predictability, and mandatory training (Articles 8-13). It applies to all workers in the EU with an employment contract or relationship, including those in non-standard forms of work.
