What ILO Convention No. 13 (C013) - White Lead (Painting), 1921 requires
ILO Convention No. 13 requires States to prohibit the use of white lead, sulphate of lead and products containing those pigments in the internal painting of buildings, subject to limited exceptions, to prohibit the employment of males under 18 and of all females in industrial painting work involving these substances, and to regulate their permitted use through hygiene precautions and the collection of statistics on lead poisoning among painters.
