What ILO Convention No. 141 (C141) - Rural Workers Organisations, 1975 requires
ILO Convention No. 141 requires States to recognise the right of all categories of rural workers, whether wage earners or self-employed, to establish and join organisations of their own choosing without previous authorisation, to make it an objective of national policy to facilitate the establishment and growth of strong and independent rural workers organisations, and to adopt and carry out an active policy encouraging those organisations while fully respecting the principles of freedom of association.
