What ILO Convention No. 156 (C156) - Workers with Family Responsibilities, 1981 requires
ILO Convention No. 156 requires States to make it an aim of national policy to enable persons with family responsibilities who are engaged or wish to engage in employment to do so without discrimination and, as far as possible, without conflict between employment and family responsibilities, through measures in vocational guidance and training, community services and planning, and a guarantee that family responsibilities are not a valid reason for dismissal.
