What NIST AI Risk Management Framework 1.0 (2023) - Govern, Map, Measure, Manage requires
NIST AI RMF 1.0 (January 2023) provides a voluntary, risk-based framework for organisations to manage AI-specific risks across the AI system lifecycle: the GOVERN function establishes policies and culture; MAP identifies context and categorises risk; MEASURE analyses and prioritises risk; and MANAGE implements treatment plans and monitors residual risk. The framework is technologically neutral, sector-agnostic, and designed for use alongside the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
