What Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space requires
This regulation requires all Contracting Parties to render immediate assistance to astronauts in distress, promptly return them to the launching authority, and return any space objects found. It applies to all states that are party to the agreement and mandates notification to both the launching authority and the UN Secretary-General under Article 1.
