What 42 CFR Part 93 - PHS Policies on Research Misconduct requires
42 CFR Part 93 sets the Public Health Service policies on research misconduct administered by the Office of Research Integrity. Section 93.103 defines research misconduct as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, performing, or reviewing research or in reporting research results, and Section 93.104 establishes the three-part test that a finding requires. Section 93.301 requires institutions with PHS-supported research to provide an assurance of compliance and to maintain written policies and procedures for handling allegations.
