What Children's Online Privacy Protection Act requires
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires operators of commercial websites and online services directed to children under 13, or those knowingly collecting personal information from children under 13, to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing such information, and to provide parents with access and control over their child's data as specified in 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506.
